If you would like to knit for Warming Hearts, below is some information on the items we include in our bundles and some patterns you can download.

We apologise we are not currently sending knitting packs. However, you are welcome to knit using your own wool.
Please check our social media pages for updates on future wool pack drops.
Please make garments in size newborn - 3 months.
Packs include the following items in Newborn Sizing & 0-3 Months
Vests/Singlets
Jackets/Jumpers
Hats
Booties
Blankets - Approximate size 60 x 80cm or 80 x 80cm and upwards.

Your knitting is placed into packs of warmth which are distributed by midwives and social workers in Auckland, directly to newborn babies who have little or no warm clothing or bedding.
Once your knitting is complete, you can drop to our office in Albany (PACRITE, 220 Bush Road, Albany) or to one of our drop off points listed on our website; https://www.warminghearts.co.nz/copy-of-about-us

How do I get a knitting pack?Sign up to become a knitter for us and you will receive an email request for your courier address. We can send you packs or you can collect from our head office in Albany, Auckland.

Do you have patterns available?Yes, patterns will be included in your knitting kit or you can email us for patterns if you are not requesting a wool pack.

What is included in a knitting kit?Each kit includes an information sheet, 6 balls of yarn and some patterns. If needed, a prepaid courier bag can be included to assist you in returning knitted garments.

What sizes should I knit?Please knit garments to fit newborn up to 3 months.

What items are most in demand?Every kit includes a knitted vest, jacket, hat, booties and a blanket - so these items are always required.

Can we order a larger wool pack for our knitting group?Yes - please contact us directly if you have a group of knitters and would like a larger delivery of wool.

Can I knit for you if I don't live in Auckland?Yes you can! Just let us know you will require a prepaid courier bag. Unfortunately we cannot send wool packs to rural addresses due to the high cost and limited funding available.

Do you deliver to rural addresses?Unfortunately at this time we can't due to the high cost. Most of our financial resource is spent on the purchasing of the wool and merino.
