BECOMING A COLLECTION POINT:

Please contact us to discuss becoming a collection point. We will share your address and preferred drop off times on our website and social media pages. Once you have some donations they simply need to be delivered to our Albany Warehouse.

CAN I BECOME A COLLECTION POINT OUTSIDE OF AUCKLAND:

Yes you can! However we do not currently have funding to distribute the goods to Auckland, so if you are happy to cover this cost, then you are welcome to become a collection point. Please contact us to discuss.

WHAT DO WARMING HEARTS COLLECT:

We collect prem - 6 months size knitwear in good, clean condition.  Bedding, we collect bassinet linen and warm blankets - knitted and merino blankets are always needed!

Most high need is merino and wool blend garments as well as cotton onesies for layering. Cotton bodysuits (long sleeve especially) and all in ones are always in high need. 

We also include clean muslin/cotton swaddles in our packs.

I HAVE CLOTHING LARGER THAN 6MONTHS, CAN I DONATE THEM?

No, unfortunately our bundles include clothing size newborn to 6 months only as they are given to newborn babies. Contact us if you are looking for a charity to pass these larger items to.

WHAT DO YOU INCLUDE IN YOUR BUNDLES?

We include knitted singlets and vests, a jacket or jumper, knitted blankets, booties, hats and merino and cotton basics for layering. Packs may also include cotton swaddles/wraps if available.

I HAVE KNITWEAR THE IS NOT PURE WOOL, CAN I DONATE?

Yes it is. If you need assistance in obtaining wool please sign up to our knitting club and we can contact you when wool is available.

DO YOU COLLECT BABY CLOTHES THAT ARE NOT PURE WOOL, COTTON OR MERINO?

Our focus is mainly on these fibres - however acyclic knitted items are accepted. The bundles have a mix of wool and acrylic pieces. We DO NOT TAKE polarfleece

DO I NEED TO PRE-WASH MY DONATIONS:

We do prefer this. The families receiving the bundles are advised to wash things also, but sometimes access to washing facilities is difficult for them. If you are unable to wash them please just check to see they are free from obvious stains and dirt. 
 

DO YOU ACCEPT POLARFLEECE?
We don't include any polar fleece in our bundles. They are going to newborn babies who are unable to regulate their body temperature. So whilst polarfleece is ok for older children, it can be dangerous for wee babies.

DO YOU ACCEPT SECOND HAND MOSES BASKETS OR BASSINETS?

Yes we often have need for these, so please pass them on if they are in clean, mould free condition. For storage reasons, we don't collect the stands.

DO WARMING HEARTS DELIVER OUTSIDE OF AUCKLAND?

The short answer is no, not at this stage, although we have delivered them on special request. Unfortunately we don't currently have funding for this side of the operation but watch this space!

DO YOU ACCEPT CAR SEATS, COTS OR LARGER ITEMS?

We don't currently focus on collecting these items. We donate things like this to Thrive or Plunket, perhaps get in touch with them to see if they have families needing them.

DO YOU HAVE A COLLECTION SERVICE?
